Our History
As one of the nation’s largest bulk bee suppliers, we know what it takes to raise high quality bees. Desert Creek was started 20 years ago by Blake Shook, who grew the business from a personal hobby. Since then, we’ve become a trusted name throughout the beekeeping industry, operating thousands of beehives nationwide, producing honey, pollinating crops and raising bees to sell. We also broker bees for orchards in California (www.desertcreekpollination.com) as well as bottle and sell honey to grocery stores (www.desertcreekhoney.com). Our sister company (www.beesupplyco.com) sells commercial and hobby beekeeping supplies nationwide . Meet Our Team
Blake Shook
CEO
Blake founded Desert Creek in 2002. He currently serves on the National Honey Board as well as the American Beekeeping Federation, and is a former president of the Texas Beekeepers Association. Under Blake’s vision and through teamwork with amazing employees, Desert Creek has grown to include five businesses spanning commercial migratory beekeeping, honey packing, pollination brokering, beekeeping supplies, and bulk bee selling!
Hayden Chrisman
Operations Manager
Hayden began keeping bees as a young teenager and quickly exploded into a commercial beekeeper before even graduating high school. He joined the Desert Creek team as an expert in all areas of beekeeping, and specializes in growing and selling top-quality bees. Hayden oversees operations for Desert Creek Bulk Bees!
Tiffany Adair
Admin
Tiffany is a long-time member of the Desert Creek team and serves in a wide variety of capacities throughout the company. She oversees office administration, customer advocacy, logistics coordination and much, much more. She’s typically the first point of contact for anyone reaching out to us!
Cesar Gomez
Field Manager
Cesar joined Desert Creek many years ago, and has become one of our sharpest beekeeping experts. He oversees our field crews, and is involved in making top-quality nucs and hives every single day!
Andrew Roehrig
CFO
Andrew fills many critical roles for the entire Desert Creek business and is a long-time member of the Desert Creek team. He serves as CFO for Desert Creek Bulk Bees, working to ensure we offer the best possible value to our customers!
