Expert Nationwide Delivery

We understand that one of the greatest hindrances many bee purchasers face is getting hundreds of hives or nucs home. We routinely transport bees all over the country, and have the specialized equipment and expertise to safely deliver your bees anywhere in the USA! We are based in Blue Ridge, Texas (Just NE of Dallas), and charge $2.50 per mile (one way, not round trip) to deliver your bees. We are offering this rate below our cost, since we understand it's important that you are able to get an outstanding price in addition to service & quality.
Want to pick up your bees? No problem! We'll load them up for you, and help you strap them down.

Free Inspection Travel Voucher

When we say we want you to be happy with your bees, and that transparency is important to us, we really mean that. So much so, that we'll pay for your plane ticket or travel expenses to come inspect your new bees prior to shipment/pick up. We’ll fund up to $300 in travel costs to make this happen! DFW airport is only about an hour from our headquarters, making travel to & from us very convenient and inexpensive. If you want to drive to us, we'll still give you the $300 to use for driving expenses.

Pro Nuc Boxes

We've tried every nuc box on the market, and really love the durable Pro Nuc boxes. We find Pro Nucs:
1. Make bee transportation incredibly easy since they don't crush or warp
2. Do a better job of keeping bees in the boxes
3. Are reusable & a value add to customers
4. Offer better ventilation
5. Much easier to carry, handle & stack

Multiple Breeds

We understand that your needs as a beekeeper vary. So, we've got breeds to meet whatever your needs are. We offer our Italian/Carniolan hybrids which are bred to be an all around tough, mite resistant & gentle bees. We also offer Cordovans, which are bred to be incredibly gentle & awesome honey producers. Check out “About our Bees” for more details on the breeds we offer.

Extra Early, or Late Delivery

Some beekeepers want nucs or hives as early in the season as possible, and others have more flexibility. So, we are offering a sliding scale of price depending on when you want bees! Don't need bees until after May 15th? That saves you $5 per unit! Need bees in early April? No problem, but we will have to use mated queens rather than cells, which costs us $15 more per unit for nucs or singles, but not doubles.

Add a Frame:
Our standard brood qtys per nuc or hive are industry averages. But, if you have a honey flow coming soon, want to do splits, or provide abnormally super strong hives or nucs for your customers, you can choose to add a frame of brood for $30 per unit. This will mean we guarantee each unit will have 1 frame of brood & bees above the minimum qtys listed in our terms. You can also buy a frame of brood & bees only at $30 per frame.

Marked Queen:
If you want to closely track your queens, or resell hives/nucs with marked queens, we're happy to find & mark the queens in nucs or hives! Color will be the industry standard color for that year.

We've got decades of experience in beekeeping from a hobby scale, to a sideline scale, all the way to a migratory commercial beekeeping scale. We love helping when we can, and are happy to share any an all information we can!

Flexible Payments

We offer flexible payment terms!
We know predicting exactly how many hives or nucs you need is tough months ahead of time. At the same time, we really need to plan ahead when it comes to building hives & ordering supplies. To make it as easy as possible for us both, we ask for $0 down when you place your order. After that, we ask for a 50% payment by February 1st, and the final 50% upon pickup/delivery. In exchange ask you to order as early as possible in the year & do your best to project accurate orders.
Simple as that!

What is the minimum number of units I can purchase?

In order to keep our costs as low as possible, we don't sell under 50 units. However, our sister company, www.texasbeesupply.com does!
Can I combine quantites of different types of units to reach the next price break?

Our pricing is structured to give you the best possible deal, but we can't combine quantites of seperate products to reach a price break. For example, a purchase of 50 nucs and 50 singles will not give you a quanity price break of 100 for each unit.
Do you treat for mites & diseases before sellng the hives/nucs?

Yes! While we raise our bees using VSH bloodlines, we also carefully monitor varroa levels, and treat if they exceed 2 per 100 bees. We also use Strong Microbials on all our hives to help keep any foulbroods at bay.
How much stored honey will be in each nuc/hive?

Our goal is for each nuc to have at least 1 frame of stored honey, singles at least 2, and doubles at least 4. If they have less than that, we'll be feeding! Some years hives will have more, or less, but our goal is to maximize brood, not honey.
Can I get nucs or hives earlier than early April?

Possibly! If you need nucs or hives earlier than early April, let us know. It is somewhat weather dependent, but many years it is possible.
How do payment terms work if I order bees in the spring or summer, and want to pick up asap?"

We highly encourage everyone to order as many months ahead of time as possible to guarantee we have enough, and the correct types of units available for you. However, we do build extras of all units and continue to sell April-September. If you order hives after April 1st, we ask for 50% down when you place the order and 50% when you pick up your order.

We purchased 100 double deep hives, and they were awesome. Made several splits from each, and they are thriving. Blake & team were so helpful with delivery, and answering all my follow up questions!
